For fifteen years, Vulture Bait Trail Races has seen over 3500 runners join us on the trails of Fanshawe Conservation Area on the Saturday following the Canadian Thanksgiving. We have seen runners from more than eight different countries, eight Canadian provinces, and eleven US states join us on trails covered in beautiful fall leaves, shoe sucking mud, accompanied by finger numbing rain & hail and toe crisping snow. With the extremely rare year of sunshine!
Although some Vulture Bait Trail Runners joined us just once, many of you have made an annual tradition out of our favourite fall running event participating in a substantial number of those fifteen years. With more than a few, running all fifteen times!
We thank you! Each and every one of you for the part you have played in bringing this race to where it is today and the community of runners and volunteers who join together each fall to bring forth our successful sold out event.
With this [deep breath], at 15 years, we have decided that Vulture Bait Trail Races has reached a natural conclusion.
2017 will have been the final running of the event.
We are ecstatic with the years of races we have provided you with and wish to close the doors leaving you wanting more....
Wishing you the happiest of trails,
Jennifer-Anne Meneray & Larry Gooder
